Nadia commenced showing her beloved, Grand Champion Cannyben Bonnys Crusade, and while doing so, she enjoyed great success with two Bearded Collies. Owning Beardies taught Nadia lots about the importance of good grooming and coat preparation, and this is something she continues to apply in the show-ring today.
Jake came to Nadia from Barb Watt, who is sadly now deceased, but produced beautiful Bearded Collies. Jake was a dynamo from the day he arrived, and totally excelled in the show ring, surpassing any expectations that Nadia had.
Jake won 12 Best In Groups, 12 RUIG, 2 Runner Up In Show, 3 Royal Best Of Breed, 20 Class In Show and 102 Class In Group awards in a show career with Nadia that spanned just 2 years and 3 days, and this was with a 5 month break out of the show-ring!
Jake gained his Australian Championship at 8 ˝ months and his Grand Championship at less than 2 ˝ years of age.
Jake was not only a gorgeous show-dog but such a loving and funny dog to be around. He really was not just a star but also a clown.
In 2000 Jake went to New Zealand and in the minimum number of shows he completed his NZ Championship, along the way only once not receiving either RUIG or a Class In Show award. Nadia was there to witness his NZ Championship and enjoy his life in Christchurch.
Sadly only a few months later, Jake passed away, never to return to Classicyds. He is always in Nadia’s heart – a great dog, loved very much!
Charlotte came to Nadia from Lynn Meehan, who is sadly now deceased. From the day she arrived at Classicyds Charlotte certainly made an impact with her big personality and her “look at me” style.
Charlotte amassed over 800 points in just 14 months of showing, but was returned to Lynn to have a litter prior to completing her Grand Championship.
Charlotte gained her Australian Championship at less than 7 ˝ months, something of a record then, and one not able to be matched now under the new system.
While with Nadia Charlotte won multi Best In Groups and RUIGs along with 7 Class In Show and 56 Class In Group awards.
She was a lovely example of her breed and really captured the hearts of many.
